CHAOS On The Battlefield of Life

Hello my lovely followers! Forgive me for being so absent from my blog. Life has been throwing a few curveballs at me. Don’t worry! God has been showing tremendous amounts of favor and grace. I can not complain!! I pray that you all have been prospering in more ways than one. I look forward to reading your blogs as always! ❤️

Today has been an interesting day. My stomach has been uneasy from hearing and witnessing something very unfortunate. This morning I arrived to work promptly as usual. I noticed that a strange truck was parked outside my office. I didn’t think too much of it at the time…I parked two spots away from him and continued with my day as normal.

Around  10am, that very man ending up taking his life inside of his car. With no clue of who he is and what was going through his head at the time… he made a permanent decision over something that was temporary. I do not know his story but I know everything on this earth is temporary. This life will seem like a mere memory compared to eternity.

The first few thoughts to pop up in my head were:

  • I need to pray for his soul and his family members.
  • What if he came into the job and decided to to take someone else’s life along with his?”
  • What was so bad that he felt like his only way out was suicide?

I am not exactly sure what to think. 😓 But in the meantime, I have been praying. There’s a chance that this man could’ve decided to walk 5ft away from his truck and walk into our office building to create more heart wrenching chaos.

As we go about day to day, I believe we all tend to forget how precious each second of life is. Yes, this may sound corny but it is the truth. We go through the same routines everyday, growing a blind eye to the many blessings and grace around us.

If you ever come across someone that seems to be down in the dumps, take a few minutes out of your day to try to cheer them up. It won’t hurt right? Showing such love and compassion could actually help save their lives!

I stumbled across this excerpt by Joyce Meyer helped me out this evening. While you’re here you might as well CHECK IT OUT!!! ❤️

“It’s the most outrageous thing. The more I think about it, the more amazed I am. It gives blessings that are undeserved and withholds punishment when it is deserved. It’s absolutely the greatest gift you can give someone.

This gift is called mercy. See, Jesus came to earth and gave us mercy, so we need to learn to give mercy to others.

By Christ’s example, we’re taught to love and pray for our enemies. We’re taught to be friendly to those who do not treat us as we would like to be treated. We are told to give to and care for the poor and helpless who will never be able to pay us back.

We can give to people who will give us gifts in return. But we’re more blessed when we choose to give to those who cannot pay us back, that’s giving mercy.

The greatest gift you can give God is to become more like Jesus. You can do that by treating others the way He treated you. Give those around you the greatest gift they could ever receive from you: mercy

Prayer Starter: God, I thank You for the mercy that You selflessly give me every day. I choose now to give that mercy to others. Every chance I get, I will show them the mercy that You have shown me.”

Life is a Beach, Enjoy it!

Good evening everyone! OH! How I have missed posting on my blog and reading yours as well! 😊 I hope that you all have been doused with prosperity and full of joy during my days away.

These past few months I have been taking advantage of my time away from the office life of corporate America. In April I went to Kansas City, in June I went to Denver and in July I visited Lousiana and Destin, Florida! Each place created such precious memories that I will cherish forever. ❤️

My family and I were fortunate enough to spot plenty of Dolphins during the trip!! I will never forget that moment when I was on the boat in Destin, FL gazing at the blue skies and crystal clear water. Simply in awe of God’s beautiful artwork. I thought about how much God wants me to enjoy every bit of this life that he has graciously blessed me with.
With the daily chaos that life brings, it’s easy to forget that we are here for a purpose.

God’s purpose!!

Let yourself know that it’s okay to enjoy your life!

Enjoyment is the fuel we need to reach the finish line of an endeavor with a good attitude. We may drive ourselves to finish, but somewhere along the way we will probably become bitter and get a chip on our shoulder if we don’t lighten up and take time to celebrate the journey. 😊

Too many people work constantly and stress themselves out, feeling guilty about enjoying and celebrating life when God has clearly ordained and commanded both labor and enjoyment. Ecclesiastes 2:24 says that it’s good for us to relax and enjoy ourselves in the midst of hard work.

Our thinking has been warped in this area. Satan has managed to deceive us, and by doing so he succeeds in keeping people weary and worn-out, feeling resentful and taken advantage of because of excessive work and responsibility.

We need times of refreshment and recreation as well as work and accomplishment. You should be diligent in whatever task God has placed in front of you, but make sure that you find a balance by learning to reward yourself and enjoy life. God thinks you are worth it!

Although it is late in the evening, I wanted to send out some encouragement to my followers. You are loved by the Most High!! Stay strong during the rest of the week. You can do it!! Enjoy your life! ❤️😊

Prayer Starter: “God, I realize now that You want me to enjoy my life and reward myself. Instead of feeling guilty and never stopping for a break, I choose today to experience the joy that You planned for me.”

Happy Tuesday!!

Good afternoon everyone!!! It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. My life started to get VERY interesting this month. I just got back from my first visit to Denver, CO! I will be posting something tomorrow describing this wonderful & accelerating experience. (I will give you a hint: one story involves mountain lions and the other involves a baby black bear) 😱😱

Thank God for his covering and favor! Lol Both stories could’ve went south without his hedge of protection. Don’t worry, I took a lot of amazing shots while I was there.  I pray that you all are doing GREAT and feeling wonderful!!

Stay blessed and keep your heads up!! Enjoy the rest of your day. ❤️❤️

*P.S: Both photos are mine, I just didn’t have time to watermark them! 😉

Devotional- Spiritual Weapons

  Your Three Best Weapons

“Through careful strategy and cunning deceit, Satan attempts to wage war against you and keep you in a mindset of defeat. But God has given you spiritual weapons to use against him. Here are the main three spiritual weapons you can use to fight off the enemy:

1. God’s Word: Receive it through preaching, teaching, reading and private Bible study. Continue in the Word until it becomes revelation given by inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

2. Praise: This defeats the devil faster and more efficiently than any other battle plan, but it must be genuine heart-praise, not just lip service or a religious ritual.

3. Prayer: Prayer is relationship with the Godhead. It is communication with God, asking Him for help or talking with Him about whatever is on your heart. To have an effective prayer life, we must develop an intimate, personal relationship with the Father. Know that He loves you and that He wants to help you.

There is a war going on, but God is fighting on your side and has given you the weapons you need. Use them to send Satan running!

Prayer Starter: Lord, thank You so much for giving me the spiritual weapons I need to fight my enemy. With Your help, I know that I can win the battle today!”

” For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons.” 2 Corinthians 10:3

Ways Of The World

“Our delight as Christians is in knowing God and walking in His ways – firmly grounded in His word. It is not the way of the Lord to live in the counsel of the ungodly – following their advice. In other words, we don’t listen to what the world says we should do, but we do what God’s word says to do. We don’t stand in the path where sinners walk. In other words, we don’t walk down the path they are walking, coming under their influence. We don’t sit down to rest where the scornful and mockers gather – to be seen as like-minded with them.

God’s ways are so different to the world’s ways. The times we live in today are hard. There is so much the world is telling us that seems all right on the surface – but it’s lies masked as truth. We need to pray that God would show us the truth in the midst of it – seeking His counsel in it.

As we continue to live by God’s word, we shall be like a tree firmly planted by streams. We shall be nourished and refreshed, always producing fruit in season. God blesses our stand for Him. No matter what the ungodly say or do, as we stand for Jesus and the truth of God’s word – we shall be blessed.”

Prayer Starter: Your ways, Lord, are not the same As what the world displays. Help me, Lord, to see the difference and choose to walk your way.

More of You Jesus, Less of Me!

On this morning, throw your flesh to the side and strive to be more like our Savior, Jesus. As we know the fruits of his Holy Spirit are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self -control. Each day I ask the Lord to fill me with his Spirit to produce his fruits throughout the day. I used to have a really terrible anger problem. If someone dared to ask me a question that I didn’t like, my blood pressure would automatically set to BROIL!

In reality, it would set my day back when I let other people control my mood as I did. I remember watching one of my fellow coworkers do the same as I did, it didn’t look so appealing as I thought. I knew that was not the way God wants his children to act nor think. When our minds are set on such negativity we are vulnerable to let the devil steal our joy that God has given us. The devil has already lost the war, I rather not give him any indication that he can take advantage of me while we wait for our Groom to take us home (to paradise). So I’ve learned to ask the Lord for strength, patience and, of course. LOVE to deal with his children….

I am striving to make the best of each day that is given to me. If there was no work for me to do here on earth, I would simply not be here. This life will seem as a mere memory when we are in the final presence of the Lord in Heaven. It is said in the book of Revelations that we will be judged by our works when it is time for the Final Judgement.

“The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they have done.” Revelations 20:13 NIV

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, he tells us to turn away from our past behavior and become a new creature. I am only 23 years old and the things I did in my past were not always right. Although God already knows my faults and wrongdoings, to actually hear him say them out loud in front of all seems intimidating. 😳 lol Yes, the Lord himself said We are forgiven when we repent. I want to make sure I take each forgiven second to do some Kingdom good on carnal ground.

By saying NO to my flesh and YES to Jesus… make me more like you Lord!! Amen!

Remain In Peace

   You Can Always Have Peace

At this moment in my life, I am depending on God more than ever before. While the world is asking me “What will you do next?”, I can only answer back “Trust my Heavenly Father.” The Lord has positioned me into His rest and it feels phenomenal! It is a feeling that cannot be bought. It is completely priceless. While life keeps hitting us hard, remain in peace with God. You will overcome all things! Before you end your evening, check this last excerpt by Joyce Meyer. This is something all believers must keep in mind!

“Satan relentlessly attempts to steal everything God has provided for His children through Jesus Christ. Peace is one of the biggies; it is one of the things he works extra hard to prevent us from enjoying. Remember, we have peace—Jesus provided it—but we must appropriate it. That means to take it and use it for our own use. Satan does everything he can to keep us from doing this, beginning with deception; he wants us to think that peace is not possible, that it is not even an option.

When we have a challenging situation, Satan says, “What are you going to do? What are you going to do?” We frequently don’t know what to do; nevertheless, Satan pressures us for answers that we don’t have. He tries to make us believe it is our responsibility to solve our problems when the Word of God clearly states that our job as believers is to believe—not solve our problems. We believe, and God works on our behalf to bring answers that meet our needs.

A good example of this is found in Exodus 14. The Egyptians were pursuing the Israelites; all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and army were in pursuit of God’s people. When the Israelites found themselves stuck between the Red Sea and the Egyptian army, it seemed hopeless. They could see no way out, so naturally, they became fearful and upset. They began to complain and make accusations against their leader, Moses.

“Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest” (Exodus 14:13-14).

It may have sounded foolish to the Israelites to stand still, hold their peace, and remain at rest, but that was God’s instruction to them—it was their way to deliverance. When we remain peaceful in tumultuous circumstances, it clearly shows that we are trusting God.

Trust in Him!

Don’t say “God, I trust You,” if your actions show otherwise. Trust God with your words and actions; rest in His peace, and He will deliver you.”

From the book Trusting God Day by Day by Joyce Meyer.

Keep Exodus 14:14 close by during your times of trouble & confusion. The Lord loves you very much. Have a blessed evening everyone!

Believe The Best About People

This is a subject that I, myself, constantly work on day and night. Although I am young, I have been through many circumstances with other people. I used to have this cold-hearted attitude where I wouldn’t give anyone a bit of my time if they weren’t “worthy” of it. It’s interesting how the Lord dedicates HIS time for us even though we are not necessarily worthy. His everlasting and gracious Holy Spirit is available to us 24/7, 365 days a year.

I’ve learned to try my absolute best to think the best about my enemies. The Lord personally tells us to bless our enemies and those who curse us. By forgiving those who have hurt us, we can now live our lives free from any bondage or burden that they may have caused. Check out what Mrs. Joyce Meyer has to say about this topic!

“Believing the best about people is very helpful in the process of forgiving people who hurt or offend us. As human beings, we tend to be suspicious of others and we often get hurt due to our own imaginations. It is possible to believe someone hurt you on purpose when the truth is they were not even aware they did anything at all, and never intended to upset you.

I can remember, during the early years of our marriage, focusing on everything I considered negative about Dave and ignoring his positive traits. My thoughts went something like this: We just don’t agree about anything. Dave is so stubborn, and he has to be right all the time. He is insensitive, and he just doesn’t care how I feel. He never thinks of anyone but himself. In reality, none of these thoughts were true!

They only existed in my own mind; and my wrong thinking caused a great deal of offense and disagreement that could have been easily avoided had my mindset been more positive. Over time, as I grew in my relationship with God, I learned the power of believing the best about people and meditating on the things that were good. As that happened, my thinking sounded like this: Dave is usually very easy to get along with; he has his areas of stubbornness, but then so do I. Dave loves me and would never hurt my feelings on purpose. Dave is very protective of me and always makes sure I am taken care of. At first, I had to think these things on purpose, but now I actually feel uncomfortable when I think negative thoughts, and positive thoughts come more naturally because I have disciplined myself to think them.

There are still times when people hurt my feelings, but then I remember that I can choose whether to be hurt or to “get over it.” I can believe the best or I can believe the worst, so why not believe the best and enjoy my day? Trust in Him!

Answer this: Do you believe the best about people? Is there someone in particular whom you need to believe the best? Trust God to help you meditate on the best of all people until positive thoughts come naturally.”

God IS My Anchor

 Anchored in Goodness

“You may have heard it before: life is hard; God is good. This statement is far more than a cliché: it’s a strong and solid theological truth. Some incredibly smart people have wrestled with such questions as, “if God is good, then why does this happen? Why is injustice allowed, and why can life be so hard?” Those really smart people concluded that life is hard AND God is good. One doesn’t cancel out the other. They call it “theodicy.”
Most people assume that because life is hard, God must not be good—but that’s not the case. It’s not an either/or scenario.

A few years ago, I decided that even when I couldn’t answer the “why?” part of that statement (“If God is good, then why ____?”), I decided that I would eliminate the “if.” In other words, I choose to believe that God is good . . . no matter what.
You can anchor yourself in God’s goodness too. Start watching for the goodness of God despite the circumstances. Maybe the door gets closed on one opportunity, but maybe God has something better in store that we have to walk through a different door in order to access it.

This has happened so many times in my own life that now I expect it. When something doesn’t go my way, I remind myself of God’s track record and I start watching for the next opportunity that will uncover God’s ultimate plan through the process.Being anchored in the goodness of God isn’t always going to be a rational thing. It’s a stubborn, unrelenting determination not to let the hardships of life downsize the bigness of God.

Think about it: What are ways you can remind yourself to watch for God’s goodness despite the circumstances?
PRAY: God, thank you for helping me get anchored in your goodness. Give me strength today to stop wondering and start watching for your favor in every situation. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

My personal response to the “Think About It” question: I never knew at 23 years old, I would’ve been a store manager at two clothing stores; then promoted (by God) to work at a multi-billion dollar trucking company. I never knew that after a year and a half of working at the trucking company, I would be unemployed for a few months. Even though I did not expect all of that to happen, the Lord already knew it was going to happen. Now that I am still unemployed I have anchored myself in God’s rest. He has blessed me to still be financially stable for everything I possess. As it is coming close for my unemployment funds to run out, I refuse to get stressed over life’s situations. As I think about my past history, I surely can testify that God has always made a way out of no way. And you know what? He will do it again. His goodness and grace is everlasting. No matter what happens in my life on earth, Heaven is the reason I rejoice daily!

What would you answer to the “Think About It” question?? I would love to hear some feedback from my lovely family in Christ! Thanks for reading! Stay Blessed.
