What Are You Longing For? ❤

Happy New Year!! 💫

The 1st week of the year seemed to fly by but I am excited to see the movement of God in 2019!! 😆🙌🏾

Everyone has already posted their New Years resolutions. Some have mentioned that they promise to go to the gym everyday, to cut meat out of their diets, to start a new relationship and etc. I personally stopped making “resolutions” and started to call them goals instead. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I feel like resolutions hold more weight and pressure to being kept rather than yearly goals. If someone doesn’t stay true to their “go to the gym daily” resolution, they feel discouraged and throw out the whole resolution altogether.

Last year, my top two goals were to legalize The Organization and travel to Jamaica solo. 😍 By the grace of God, both goals were accomplished with ease.

For 2019, my goals consist of:

  • Steadily advocate for my Organization. 💙
  • Traveling more within the US and to go back to Jamaica. 💚

These are great goals but ultimately, my main goal on the list is to keep in mind who I am in Christ. Walking with Him consciously every second of the day. Embracing the true love (agape) of Jesus and sharing that with others.

Jesus’ love is so divine and incomparable.

Society withholds particular standards and expectations of us, especially when it comes to relationships. 🤦🏾‍♀️

At a certain age, you’re “supposed” to be fully established within your career, married and with child. Unfortunately, these standards lead us to long for love. Typically, for the wrong kind of love… in the wrong place.

It also makes us forget our self-worth and leaving one to feel obsolete without an significant other.

****Don’t get me wrong, relationships can be delightful and also, a blessing ❤️ Nethertheless, the best type of love is God’s love and self-love. Even relationships cannot be prosperous and fruitful without God in the midst.****

For my single readers, are you constantly craving for someone to make you whole and fulfill your desires?

Take a moment and think to yourself “What am I longing for in life?”.

The only one who can truly complete us is Jesus Christ, Himself. It’s the reason He came down here as the sacrificial lamb of God. Out of love. Redeeming us and bringing us to His Light (and, of course, making a way for us to enter into Heaven).

Instead of looking for the opposite sex to confide in, lean on God. 💫While the world is naturally set to fail, God isn’t. His love and mercy is around us each day. 🌹

As I stated in a previous post…you may be looking for love, but actually you’re looking for God, because He is love. Any “love” you gain that is disconnected from God is not really love and will leave you feeling unfulfilled. This goes for anyone, no matter what your martial status is. God’s love is undeniably most important.

“So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.” Acts‬ ‭17:27-28‬ ‭(AMP‬‬)

The Bible says that in Him we live, move, and have our being. That tells me that without Him, life is not complete. Everyone is looking for love, but are you looking for God’s love? It’s the only love that matters, the only love that lasts, and the only love that fulfills.

As you walk out the rest of your day remember these things:

  • GOD LOVES YOU!!! ❤️
  • 2019 will be a phenomenal year for His children!!!!!
  • Don’t let society or the ways of the world confine you.
  • Keep your mind + heart + soul in the right place.
  • God bless!! 🌹✨🙌🏾
