Finish the Course

The image above was created by the Bible App and it says:

“My ONLY aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.”

Believe it or not, it is literally my motto of life itself🙌🏾

In this world, it’s easy to get caught up in social media leading yourself to compare what you have to what your peers possess.

Filing your mental space with junk that has no right to be there.

No matter what’s currently going on in your life or around you, stay reminded that you have a purpose here on earth!

A purpose of greatness!!

A purpose that doesn’t include trying to impressing others or satisfying the world to ensure that they like you.

But a purpose that is dedicated to helping those in need and glorifying The Lord in the process.

You’d be surprised how a simple smile can make someones day.

A “Hello” or “Thank you” could pick oneself up from depression.

You truly never know!!🙏

As for myself,  I am more than determined to finish this course called “life” with joy in my heart.

Proclaiming the greatness of The Lord and sharing it with others.

Although Thanksgiving is over, we are still in the season of the holidays. 💚❤️💚

Christmas is surely around the corner!

As you go about this month shopping for your friends, family or even yourself; Think about how you can be a blessing to someone else.

Sow kindness and love into the hearts of others. Do something good in your local community this month.

There is a saying that people will make time for the things that they want to.

One day at a time, we can all make a difference.

“But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel.”

Acts 20:24

Earlier this week, my older sister notified me that someone in her youth church group was participating in a drive to help aid the homeless downtown today.

Of course, this is a cause that is apart of my non-profit’s mission. I didn’t hesitate at the opportunity once she mentioned it.

It was such a beautiful morning in the DFW. The turn out was great! It ended up being a good number of us ready to help!

The organizer of the event pre-made care kits for us to pass out as we walked the streets of downtown.

The care kits included various items such as:

  • Scarfs
  • Toothpaste
  • Tooth brushes
  • Deodorant
  • Water
  • Sandwiches
  • Socks
  • Menstrual Pads
  • Cleansing Wipes
  • Blankets
  • Pillows
  • and more!

By the way, Endless Potential Inc. is the organization that hosted the drive. The founder’s name is Monica. She was so sweet and Spirit-driven.

I look forward to partnering up with her in the future to help the local community of Dallas. The more we network and partner with each other, the greater the impact we all can make together!

****My Organization, The Ascender’s Touch, will be hosting a donation drive for the homeless on January 19th, 2019.*****

Stay tuned on how you can help the cause!
