I previously posted a DIY Chalkboard idea that I did for my bestfriend’s baby shower. What I also made for her future newborn were these DIY cupcakes made from baby clothes.
They looked like they would be extremely simple to do. Yet, they were a little more complex than I expected. lol I stopped counting the amount of time that I had to re-do them.
Neither the less, it was a perfect baby shower gift for a mom-to-be. All you need to create this idea is:
- Cupcake liners
- Baby Onesie’s or shirt
- Baby socks
- A box to present them in
I will say that the bigger the size of the baby clothes, the harder it is to roll them into the cupcake.
Steps:
- You will lay out the shirt that you are going to roll.
- Fold it in half.
- Proceed to fold to make it as “skinny” and long as you can.
- Once you have that folded and laying flat, you will begin to roll up a baby sock inside the shirt.
It takes a lot of playing around to do to get it just right. Take your time 🙂 Check out Pinterest for instructional video on how to do it.
I HIGHLY recommend it!!

My friend and I are feen’s for anchor themed items. We both got matching anchor tattoos (in our youth) due to the love for the ocean. I couldn’t help but to order a baby set for her daughter. It came with an anchor t-shirt, white bottoms, and anchor bandana for the baby.
I went to Walmart to get a box for the presentation. I couldn’t help but to draw on top of the box as well. Check it out!!
Hope I got your creativity senses flowing on what you would do for a friend, family member or yourself! 🙂
Very good idea. I love it!
