SMILE! It’s The Least You Can Do!

Everyone knows how to smile. It’s one of the greatest gifts God has given us. A smile makes people feel good, and people look so beautiful when they smile. When the joy in your life is obvious, it rubs off on others. But when you keep God’s joy locked inside you and don’t allow it to show on your face, you’re depriving those around you of a pleasant and refreshing experience.

Most people really don’t understand how expressing joy will change their circumstances and, perhaps, the lives of others. Living your life with the joy of the Lord will chase off negative, depressing circumstances. And when we have His joy deep down inside of us, we can’t help but put it on display by smiling!

One act of kindness that delights the Holy Spirit is being kind to our enemies. It actually confuses them on the fact that you are going out of your way to be nice to them even when they know they do not deserve it. The Lord tells us to love and bless our enemies. Which we all know, requires Holy strength to do. To actually perform this act sounds easier than it is, but it pleases God to the highest extent.

” 38 You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. If someone slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also; 40 if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well; …” Matthew 5: 38-40

I never would have thought that smiling was such a serious matter, but God has shown me how revolutionary a simple smile can be. Expressing joy through the calm delight of smiling brings good things into your own life and shares the joy and light of the Lord with others, so smile! It is the least you can do. (and it’s FREE 🙂 )

I pray that my readers have a wonderful Thursday.

Stay content.

You are an OVERCOMER!!

Devotional: God Can Use Cracked Pots

I pray that this word uplifts you in the best way! Have a fabulous day everyone. We are getting there!! 🎉

My devotional reading of the morning is an excerpt from a Joyce Meyer devotional:
“God doesn’t require us to be perfect, He made us, and He knows we’re human and will make mistakes. Our job is to get up every day and do our best to use the keys He has provided for us. And when we fail, we must get right with God, receive His forgiveness and go on.

Many people feel that God can’t use them because they’re not perfect, but this is a lie. God (the Potter) uses cracked pots (that’s us) to do His work. As Christians, we are containers that God wants to fill with His goodness and light. Then we’re to carry that goodness and light to a dark world, sharing it with people everywhere we go.

Don’t be afraid of your flaws; acknowledge them and allow God to use you anyway. Quit worrying about what you’re not and give God what you are.

As a cracked pot, you can accomplish wonderful things. You can make somebody happy. You can encourage, edify and exhort those around you. You can use your gifts and talents to serve God.”

Prayer Starter: “God, I may be a ‘cracked pot,’ but You are the Potter and You can use me for Your purposes despite my flaws. Fill me with Your goodness and light so that I can carry it into the world around me.

Try It Tuesday: Get Creative!

In my latest post, I mentioned myself being bugged down by work and society in general. This morning, I am going to challenge myself to get my creative juices flowing and make something out of today … Literally! Lol

Whether it’s a pencil sketch or simply producing a song about the Lord on GarageBand. Either one tends to put me in a blissful mood. ☺️
My latest artistic craze has been mastering  chalkboard paint!! 😊🎨💕✨ THANKS TO PINTEREST!!!

It is something I have always wanted to try out for myself. Pinterest has countless amounts of awesome DIY (do it yourself) projects. If you’re like me, one who rather make something myself instead of paying $40+ dollars for it ; you will love PINTEREST!

This project was extremely simple and affordable! The 12 pack of mason jars were $6 at Walmart. The chalkboard paint was about $3 per can. I used something I didn’t mind getting messy (an old shower curtain) as an underlining.

*NOTE: it is best not to use the spray paint indoors , the smell is extremely strong. I advise doing this in an open area, such as your backyard or the park.

I layered each bottle with about two coats. They dried fairly even.

After about 20 mins, they were all finished. As soon as I got home I broke the chalk out!

WALAH!!! 😊

I challenge my readers as well to be creative today! If you can’t think of anything, give this project a shot! Its super fun!!!

Have a great Tuesday! 😊

Positive Reinforcement: It’s Temporary!!

Lately I have been in a slight slump.😞 We all need a “pick me up” every now and then, so I’m simply writing this post to uplift myself and others!

My mind has been swirling around endless thoughts about WORK, THE WAYS OF THE WORLD, & my surrounding TROUBLES

The tortuous roads of life will continue to tire us down to the fair dust that we are rooted from; if we don’t refocus our mind and energy towards the Lord utilizing all that the Holy Spirit has to offer us.

There are times where I rather kick and scream… Protesting my whole way to work. Constantly focused on the wrong things which instantly leads to the wrong attitude for the rest of the day.

I have a difficult time working in a corporation that does not involve in lending a hand to others in need of help. I often think “Does working here help the Kingdom in any way? & Why am I here when I could be traveling and helping the unfortunate?

God reminds me that He will never give us more than we can handle. He surely has me where I am for a reason, but it is only temporary.
If we are going through something, best believe that he will provide everything we need to get by. It isn’t “easy smeezy” nor is it fun. Yet, tribulations seem to refine/mold us into better beings.

At the end, as we leave the inner claws of the storm you’ll see how God wanted us to develop true character, as well as, steadfast faith from it all.

Once this storm passes, I truly want to look back and be proud of how I handled the situation. I don’t want to murmur and complain the whole time but to obtain break through while having a righteous attitude.

The Lord has given me a missionary’s spirit. I am positive that I will be able to partake in my true calling in due time.

Day 1 of 5 of the work week is over with. Let’s see how the rest of the week will be! I like to write scriptures and words of hope on sticky notes to post on my bathroom mirror. It is something I see throughout my day and it helps me to stay positive. I proclaim greatness, you should too!

I will be reminding myself all week that:

If any of my readers are seeming to stubble along the road as well, keep your head up! Read some devotionals. You are not alone, we will all get through the storm with the gracious help of Jesus.
Hang in there!!!
