What Are You Longing For?

Posting a short post today. Over the past few months I have been noticing how my peers around me consistently live life for all of the wrong reasons. My closest friends seem to be more concerned about someone of the world loving them where nothing else matters. I brought up the question “What are you longing for in life?”.  Are you constantly waking up craving for someone to fill you and make you happy?

The only one who can complete us is Jesus Christ himself. It is the reason he came down here as the sacrificial lamb of God. A lot of people try to act like they have it made in life without needing an inch of help. Then there are those who seem to be looking for love in the wrong places; desperately craving for someone to fulfill their desires.

Instead of looking for the opposite sex to confide in, lean on God. While the world is naturally set to fail, God isn’t. His love and mercy is around us each day.

As I stated in a previous post…you may be looking for love, but actually you’re looking for God, because He is love. Any love you gain that is disconnected from God is not really love and will leave you feeling unfulfilled.

“So that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel after Him and find Him, although He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.” Acts‬ ‭17:27-28‬ ‭(AMP‬‬)

The Bible says that in Him we live, move, and have our being. That tells me that without Him, life is not complete. Everyone is looking for love, but are you looking for God’s love? It’s the only love that matters, the only love that lasts, and the only love that fulfills. ❤️

Have a good Saturday everyone!

  1. I was already a Christian for many years, but God me that I was looking for love from people much more than from Him. People can never love us the way we need to be loved; but Jesus’ can love can fulfil us. I’m glad I finally learned that.

  2. I think there is a very fine balance in wording or explaining this.. What we are to do is place our focus on God, but it is normal and natural to desire earthly love. When we focus on God and stay in prayer, in His time if meant to be the right person will come along, to serve the Lord together.
