Ways Of The World

“Our delight as Christians is in knowing God and walking in His ways – firmly grounded in His word. It is not the way of the Lord to live in the counsel of the ungodly – following their advice. In other words, we don’t listen to what the world says we should do, but we do what God’s word says to do. We don’t stand in the path where sinners walk. In other words, we don’t walk down the path they are walking, coming under their influence. We don’t sit down to rest where the scornful and mockers gather – to be seen as like-minded with them.

God’s ways are so different to the world’s ways. The times we live in today are hard. There is so much the world is telling us that seems all right on the surface – but it’s lies masked as truth. We need to pray that God would show us the truth in the midst of it – seeking His counsel in it.

As we continue to live by God’s word, we shall be like a tree firmly planted by streams. We shall be nourished and refreshed, always producing fruit in season. God blesses our stand for Him. No matter what the ungodly say or do, as we stand for Jesus and the truth of God’s word – we shall be blessed.”

Prayer Starter: Your ways, Lord, are not the same As what the world displays. Help me, Lord, to see the difference and choose to walk your way.

Reblog: 2016 is a Year of Jubilee!!

HEY YOU! Yes, YOU! Did you know that from September 2015 to September 2016 it is the Year of Jubilee? 😄😆 You may be thinking, what does that even mean? Well the post that I have attached down below goes into great detail to answer that very question & more! Educate yourselves on the historical meaning of blood moons and what they symbolize to God and his children. The year is not over yet, so much is in store for you and me! Let’s claim and restore ourselves! Check out this awesome post!! ☺️

“(Please read Leviticus 25:8-22.  I used the NIV to prepare these remarks.)

Message – God commanded a Year of Jubilee as a special Sabbath. We can do this in our own way. What the Year of Jubilee meant to Israel. It meant freedom for indentured servants with the forgiveness of debts (39-43).  God did not […]”

More of You Jesus, Less of Me!

On this morning, throw your flesh to the side and strive to be more like our Savior, Jesus. As we know the fruits of his Holy Spirit are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self -control. Each day I ask the Lord to fill me with his Spirit to produce his fruits throughout the day. I used to have a really terrible anger problem. If someone dared to ask me a question that I didn’t like, my blood pressure would automatically set to BROIL!

In reality, it would set my day back when I let other people control my mood as I did. I remember watching one of my fellow coworkers do the same as I did, it didn’t look so appealing as I thought. I knew that was not the way God wants his children to act nor think. When our minds are set on such negativity we are vulnerable to let the devil steal our joy that God has given us. The devil has already lost the war, I rather not give him any indication that he can take advantage of me while we wait for our Groom to take us home (to paradise). So I’ve learned to ask the Lord for strength, patience and, of course. LOVE to deal with his children….

I am striving to make the best of each day that is given to me. If there was no work for me to do here on earth, I would simply not be here. This life will seem as a mere memory when we are in the final presence of the Lord in Heaven. It is said in the book of Revelations that we will be judged by our works when it is time for the Final Judgement.

“The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they have done.” Revelations 20:13 NIV

When we accept Jesus as our Savior, he tells us to turn away from our past behavior and become a new creature. I am only 23 years old and the things I did in my past were not always right. Although God already knows my faults and wrongdoings, to actually hear him say them out loud in front of all seems intimidating. 😳 lol Yes, the Lord himself said We are forgiven when we repent. I want to make sure I take each forgiven second to do some Kingdom good on carnal ground.

By saying NO to my flesh and YES to Jesus… make me more like you Lord!! Amen!

Follow The Leader!

“I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you by the way you should go.” Isaiah 48:17

God instructs us for our own benefit. He wants us to profit in every area of our lives—health, finances, career, marriage and family relationships. The Bible says that it is God who teaches us to profit. And it is He who leads us in the way that we should go.

God always has our best interests at heart. We only have to sit at His feet, listen to His Word and just have fresh, daily communion with Him, and He will make our way fruitful. But we are constantly bombarded with things to do every day, like going to school, attending a business meeting or making a sales presentation. Likewise, in church, there are just as many important things to attend to—ministering to the needy, reaching out to the lost and healing the sick. But you know what? All these things will be taken care of when we sit at Jesus’ feet and listen to His Word.

What was the Lord’s response to Martha’s complaint that her sister was sitting at His feet and listening to Him, instead of helping her with the many tasks?

“Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41–42)

Yet, many of us are like Martha. We worry about many things. And we are so busy that we have no time to sit at Jesus’ feet to listen to His Word and enjoy communion with Him. When we fail to draw from Him, we end up running on our own strength, and relying on our own flesh and wisdom to get things done. Listen, you can never have a plan that is better than God’s!

My friend, do you want to be led by God’s wisdom and timing in your decision-making? Then, make it a point to choose the good part like Mary did. Spend time with Jesus, open your Bible and say, “Lord, speak to me.” You will find that your heavenly Father takes care of your troubles, and teaches and leads you to profit!

Joseph Prince Podcast: Set Apart To Be Kings & Priests

Joseph Prince is one of the various preachers that I listen to. I love his intake on what the Lord reveals to him. He is relatable and sometimes preaches with a hint of comedy. Lol He posts different podcast each Friday & I always make sure I watch each and every single one of them.

This podcast stood out to me where I wanted to share it with my followers on here. I’ll actually watch this once a day during this week. He discusses how we are called to be kings and priest of the Lord. As a believer God has made you a king and priest in Jesus Christ. You may be thinking “what does this mean” and “how do you walk out an double high calling on a practical day-to-day basis?

Joseph Prince explains this insightful message as he shows you how you can be holy yet down-to-earth and approachable, plain looking yet possessing the spirit, heart, and qualities of a royal prince. See also what king-priests value above everything else, and start to live an uncommon life that makes you stand out and shine as a testimony for the glory of God!

Check out this powerful sermon during your spare time today! The video is only 28 minutes. 😊😊

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Reblog: If We Are The Body..

I am reposting a post that I came across tonight! It withholds the lyrics to a song by CastingCrowns, very beautiful song.

It really makes you reflect on who we are supposed to be as the body of Christ. Since we are called the Body, there are certain things we should be doing in this world. Helping, teaching, reaching out for those in need. Check it out! ❤️

“It’s crowded in worship today As she slips in trying to fade into the faces The girls teasing laughter is carrying farther than they know Farther than they know But if we are the body Why aren’t His arms reaching? Why aren’t His hands healing? Why aren’t His words teaching? And if we are the […]”

Get To Know Our Savior

Get To Know Your Savior More And More ❤️
“The Bible says in 2 Peter 1:2, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” In the original Greek, it actually says, “…through the knowledge of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.”

So God’s grace (unmerited favor) and His shalom-peace (health, provision and total well-being) are multiplied in your life through the knowledge of JESUS. The more you know Jesus, the more you will be able to tap into the ever-flowing supply of His favor, healing and provision!

Beloved, every answer you need, whether it has to do with your finances, health, career or family life, is found in knowing more about Jesus in a personal and intimate way. I pray that every day, as you study the Scriptures or listen to Christ- centered sermons, the Holy Spirit will open your eyes to see more of Jesus—His beauty, His love and grace toward you, and His finished work at Calvary!”

“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 3His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.” 2 Peter 1:2-3 (NIV)

Family Favor Devotional

“God’s favor flows as naturally into our lives as a father’s favor flows into the lives of his children. (And He is the greatest picture of a father you could ever dream of or imagine.) God loves you. He considers you HIS kid, and that makes you a generational recipient of his blessing.

Don’t feel like you need to apologize to people, or legitimize God’s goodness to those that may not understand or agree. There are always people waiting to criticize your victory or ignore your timely blessing, because they felt someone else was more deserving. In fact, if you’ve ever felt that someone doesn’t deserve a blessing they’ve received (hey, we’ve all been there . . .), you’re probably right! But here’s a sobering moment of truth for all of us: we cannot resent undeserved favor in someone else’s life if we’re going to welcome it in our own.

When we start to understand that favor is an expression of God’s grace, we are able to comprehend that the favor that we receive—exactly like grace—is disproportionate to what we deserve.

Think about it: What are some examples in your life where you’ve received unexpected or undeserved favor?

PRAY: God, thank you for being a Father to me. No matter what my earthly dad has been like, you are a generous Father and have ongoing favor in store for my future. Teach me today to accept the family favor that you have put on me as your kid. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Wow! I have been mediating on this devotional for about a week or so. I love the insight that is revealed about God’s favor. My earthly father was not always the best dad or husband to my mom during my youth; but God was/is faithful like no other. I have grown to accept all of the undeserved gifts that he bestows to me. Thanks to Jesus we have unlimited access to an unlimited, phenomenal heavenly father!

My personal response to the “Think About It” question:

  • I truly thank God for the smallest things in my life. It may sound “cliche” but it is simply the truth. We often overlook the numerous attributes of favor and blessings that God provides in our lives. I have noticed how a simple breath in the morning is undeserved favor given by the Lord. Sometimes I experience God’s favor at the times I least expect it. When I lend a helping hand to those who are going without, I somehow end up receiving something free at restaurants or cafe’s. I don’t purposely try to give JUST to receive. I do it because the Holy Spirit puts the motion onto my heart. I may not deserve the free gifts he gives, but I won’t reject it either. lol I will always need God’s merciful favor and love in my life.

What would you answer to the “Think About It” question? I would love to hear some feedback from you guys. Your comments are always well-respected and more than welcome! 🙂
